How to Eliminate Ants in Your Home

Even if you try to exterminate them every day, they keep on coming back. There is no end to them. That is why you should try these tricks to eliminate these pests at home. Here are some cheap and easy tricks for removing ants.

1. Vinegar

Ants hate the smell of vinegar.

You Will Need

  • Spray bottle
  • water
  • distilled vinegar
  • lemon essential oil

Use a spray bottle with 1:1 ratio and fill it with all the ingredients. Make sure to shake it for the ingredients to evenly mix. Use the bottle to spray on any areas where ants usually appear.

2. Cinnamon

This is a smell that ants despise.

You Will Need

  • cloth or cotton balls
  •  ½ tsp. of cinnamon essential oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • (optional) Cinnamon cloves

Mix the water and the oil and stir them well. After the mixture is done, soak the cotton in it and wipe the places where ants love to appear. After some time there will be no ants left in your house.

Plus, if you have the cloves you can leave them by the doors and windows.

3. Borax

Borax will lure the ants inside your house. After the ants come, they will think that the borax is food and they will transport it to their nests. Therefore, the entire nest will die.

You Will Need

  • 2 tbsp. of peanut butter
  • 1tbsp of borax
  • Sharp object
  • 2 tbsp. of sugar
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • Plastic container with lid

Mix the ingredients together and put them in the container you already prepared. On the lid poke a few holes, and do the same with the sides of the container. This way it will be easier for the ants to enter and leave.
